1982 has an edge to it, and little harderr and faster than 1980 and 1981. Brent has settled in on more Piano and that great B3, and has lost the Bells sound so characteristic of 79 and 80.

Of course, these stand out thus far to me -
Starlight -

Frost -

Both are epic shows with top performances for the year...

Just happened...reloaded and it now came back up "normally"...???

However, only RSS shows all posts, and some even vanished from the "big board" that showed a few min's ago prior to the "glitch".

No doubt it's something YOU did. Or Dire. But he's such an obvious choice, we should probably consider an alternative. Not that it matters, but always makes me feel better when I can blame someone somewhere. Now, if Miss D makes cookies, and mails them to me soon, I might just get over it.

That's only nine, Strat! What's your vote for the 10th?

You can choose among the following candidates: 8/7, 8/8, 8/10, 9/20, or 10/10 ...

8/1 or 8/10 are both worthy choices and belong in the top 10 fo sho. How can Strat leave out these 2 shows? And what about 4-14-82? I love that Deep Elem.

I have never listened to 10/10/82. I almost never listen to anything after 1981.

What is your score for that show?

You're funny - I was at that Scope show - thought it rocked on all levels, but of course my buddy happened upon a sheet of snoopys just before show time and my girlfriend she was real pretty and shit she sure could spin in wild and colorful circles...

I haven't heard all of those, but what's your take on 8/10? Pretty hot show there... a contender for number 10 perhaps?

My favorite set of shows I saw will always be the Alpine Valley Shows from August of that summer of 1982. The band seemed fresh and still somehow young and vibrant, and the new songs were good like Touch Of Gray and Throwing Stones...
